Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sectors, are the growth engines of the Indian economy. They contribute around 30% of our GDP, 48% of exports, and employ more than 110 million in rural and urban areas and in the emerging sustainability landscape in India, there is widespread consumer demand for sustainable products.
Governments and regulatory bodies are implementing stricter regulations and Investors expect companies to demonstrate sustainable practices align with their sustainability objectives.
Recognizing the importance of staying abreast of recent trends and developments a Joint Survey is being conducted by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI)’s Center For Sustainability and Department of Sustainable Energy Engineering, IIT Kanpur regarding Sustainability and ESG practices in Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Sector.
This survey aims to gather MSME’s industry insights into recent developments in the sector and assess the preparedness of the MSME’s industry in adopting sustainability practices in accordance with global standards.
We are seeking information from the industry regarding sustainability awareness, current practices, and the challenges faced in embracing them.
